We believe that the process in which a person becomes a member is just as important as membership itself. PVPC provides any individual seeking to join the church an opportunity to learn critical information and ask any questions that they may have. Becoming a member includes two basic steps in our Discovery Class:

Step One is an introduction to our beliefs held by Senior Pastor Richard Cooper several times throughout the year. The class allows prospective members to get to know us without any obligation in a nonthreatening environment. Come and ask any question you may have and learn about the Presbyterian Church in America, our faith, our theology and our sacraments.

Step Two you will learn how to become a member, how to get connected, what ministries are available and how to join this great body of believers. Should you decide to join, you will complete a minimal amount of paperwork and meet with one or two church officers. Upon completion of these two steps you will be formally accepted for membership on the Sunday following the classes.
