Promise Town

Letting the love of Christ be known

Promisetown is committed to making the best first impression possible of our Heavenly Father on the hearts of children and adults by sharing the love of Christ through word and action.

Promisetown Sundays

Sunday morning is a nursery environment for children ages six weeks through five years. We are committed to making Promisetown safe and secure. All our volunteers are carefully screened and our facility is kept clean and sanitary to help keep your children healthy. Infants and toddlers are cared for in a safe, loving atmosphere by trained volunteers while two through five year olds are taught the awesome truth of God’s Word through age appropriate songs, puppets and dramas.

Each week your children learn a Bible story and participate in fun, creative activities that teach them about God’s big story of love and salvation.  The kids go home with a “What I Learned in Promisetown Today” take home page with family discussion and activity ideas. You are the best teacher for your child so you can use these ideas to talk about God all week long!

We believe it is our responsibility to help introduce Preschoolers to their loving heavenly Father so before they graduate from Promisetown we want them to know:

God loves me
God made me
Jesus wants to be my Forever Friend

It is a way to support  our families by providing a “Night Out” every other month.  Each PNO is on a Saturday Night from 5pm – 9pm and includes all ages, infant through fifth grade, as long as you have at least one child in PROMISETOWN. This night is fun-filled with games, dinner and a movie. Cost is $10 per family and reservations are a must with mlee@pvpc.com.

Promisetown Preschool at PVPC

DCF License #C07SJ0086

We welcome your child to PROMISETOWN Preschool and MOM's Morning Out. PROMISETOWN exists as an outreach ministry of PVPC. Our goal is to foster a life-long love of learning through a Godly worldview. We are committed to nurturing children to be happy, empathetic individuals who are emotionally, socially and academically prepared to transition into Kindergarten.

Our Staff and Classrooms:
We embrace the individuality in every child.  Each staff member has been trained in appropriate social and intellectual development of preschool children.  All staff have provided a national FBI background check, have been interviewed and are trained in First Aid and CPR.  Each classroom has two teachers and low child-to-adult ratios to ensure safety and opportunity for individual attention.

The following are our classroom ratios:

  • One year olds: 2 teachers to 8 children
  • Two year olds: 2 teachers to 10 children
  • Three year olds: 2 teachers to 12 children
  • Four year olds: 2 teachers to 14 children
  • Four year olds:  VPK offered for 2012-13 school year, MWF

Our Enrollment:
We currently enroll 44 children ages one through through five. We have two, three, four and five day options.
Our program operates August through May; matching the St. Johns County School District Calendar with the exception of the first and last weeks of school.
Our hours are 8:30am to 12pm for one year olds and 8:30am to 1pm for two through five year olds with an option to stay until 2pm.
Twos and threes are not required to be potty trained to attend.
